Referenciada desde 1751, Ferreira é desde sempre um sinónimo de vinho português de grande qualidade. A história da marca confunde-se com a história da evolução da Região Demarcada do Douro, delimitada em 1756, e dos seus Vinhos do Porto e vinhos tranquilos. Anos mais tarde, a empresa familiar, passou a ser gerida por Antónia Adelaide, viúva de António Bernardo II.
