Bernard Dufour quickly abandoned his job as an engineer to become a full-time artist in the 1950s after being noticed and hired by the gallery owner Pierre Loeb.
His first paintings were abstract but he quickly moved towards figuration.
He participated in the Salon de Mai in 1946 and, in 1952, was one of the founding members of the Salon d'October, with Jean Degottex and Pierre Alechinsky.

Sorry, the quality of the painting is not really good, especially the frame is poor. Dissapointing.

Excuse me but the painting is at new condition, as I have bought it from the artist. There is no frame included, as it is in the description. There were enough pictures of the painting and the condition /new as I mentioned/, so you should be aware of it.
