It later gained further recognition when it graced the cover of Molly Hatchet’s acclaimed album, “Flirtin’ With Disaster”, released in 1979. Frazetta’s artwork became synonymous with Molly Hatchet, with this piece being one of three magnificent paintings featured across their albums. With its timeless appeal, “Dark Kingdom” remains a popular attraction at the Frazetta Museum and has been included in numerous anthologies dedicated to the artist’s extraordinary body of work.

Frazetta worked for various comic book companies, including Standard Comics and Magazine Enterprises. In the early 1950s, Frazetta transitioned to doing science fiction and fantasy art, particularly in collaboration with Al Williamson, producing exceptional work for EC Comics. Frazetta’s talent and versatility were further highlighted when he contributed to Al Capp’s “Li’l Abner” strip and worked on movie posters, notably “What’s New Pussycat?” His fame reached new heights with his iconic Conan the Barbarian series of paintings, leading to widespread recognition in the fantasy art genre for creating his characters such as Deth Dealer, who gained him recognition as one of the greatest illustration masters of all times.
