A rare finely potted Eggshell saucer dish delicately painted in grisaille, sepia, gilt and silver, depicting two parrots/paraqeet and a butterfly among peonies. Fine and delicately potted with a slightly flaring rim. The dish dates to the Yongzheng (1722-1735) period. And probably early in the period. In that period the craftsmen was experimenting with added silver to the decoration especially seen on fine Amorial porcelains. It was later dismissed due to the costs and the fact that it oxidized over time and got black. W 16 cm Provenance : Private Copenhagen/Danish Collection The saucer is in overall fine condition. The dish makes a fine presentation with no fritting or chips. A repaired and reglued V-.piece 0.5 cm to the rim. A small tight hairline from the rim at 4 o´clock. 2 smaller superficial clean and tight glaze starcracks to the base, not going through body. A not noticeable line to the body 2 cm around 5 o´clock.
