2016 Alois Lageder, Cason . This red Cason is an original expression of the Dolomite vineyards, thanks to the use of the exotic tannat vine with the characteristic red color of the petioles. Fruit, acidity and structure are the leitmotif of a wine born in the Casòn Hirschprunn vineyard in Magrè on sandy and stony Dolomite soils. Refines in small and large wood for approximately 18 months. The 'Löwengang' RARUM by Alois Lageder is a pure Chardonnay from Alto Adige that comes from the best plots of the Löwengang estate in Magrè. Since the 1995 vintages, the cellar has started to set aside each year a small batch of masterpieces which have now become a rich collection, the Tenuta RARUM reserve. Left to ferment spontaneously in French oak barriques, and left to rest for just under a year on the fine lees, it offers an extremely balanced sip, in which the freshness of the fruit harmonizes perfectly with the delicate tones given by the passage in wood.
