Beautiful melon shape presentation tray after German design, also called a 'folding biscuit box'.
The bowl is probably from around 1800-1900, I have not been able to determine the exact date.
Beautifully decorated with angels and claws for the legs. The bowl has a chic appearance and was probably used for decoration in a shop window.
Sometimes the shell does not stay open, this could be repaired by a professional.
Personally, I like originality, so I didn't polish the shell.
Item will be carefully packed in a sturdy box filled with packing materials to ensure proper delivery.
