Offered is a set of vintage Bowers & Wilkins speakers of the type DM 12 with an incredibly beautiful sounding sound. The very sought-after B&W DM12 set from 1982 is the most compact speaker system produced by Bowers & Wilkins up to this point. These speakers were absolutely exceptional for their time and are still absolutely above average today. The previous owner has sanded and relacquered them after a number of years. There are (not bothersome) scratches on the dust covers, but there are no holes or such in them. The housing is very well made, namely with thick tar impregnated chipboard, the bottom and sides are thicker. The bass-mid, 6” cone cast frame is equipped with a Bextrene cone. The tweeter is an electronically mounted soft dome, 1” diameter. The crossover is a Butterworth 3rd order, a favourite kind of B&W in that time. These speakers are absolutely no less than other speakers with a much heavier wattage.
