The bottom of each cup and plate bears the Fraureuth factory stamp, the image of a crown and the inscription ‘Hand-Gemalt’ (hand-painted).

The business was founded in 1866 by Georg Bruno Foedisch and Arved von Roemer under the name Roemer & Foedisch. In 1891, it was transformed into Porzellanfabrik Fraureuth AG. The company quickly developed into one of the largest German porcelain factories of its time. The factory is known for producing high- quality ware.
In 1916, the art department was founded. in 1919, Porzellanfabrik Fraureuth acquired a porcelain factory in the town of Wallendorf, which was renamed Porzellanmanufaktur Fraureuth, Niederlassung Wallendorf. From 1919 it was used by the Fraureuth company as an art department.
