Very rare large Animal Pendulum Clock with Wire Movement
"Les Fables de la Fontaine" Eagle catching a Hare, Salamander, Fox.
Jean de la Fontaine 1621 - 1695 French Poet and Writer
in period clothing, creating an animal fable.
- The wire movement works well, strikes the hours and half hours on its bell, delivered with its wire pendulum and key (will have to be revised and oiled by the new purchaser because the last revision is unknown)
This clock is approximately 140 years old, note, slight dents on the back.
*** Clock delivered complete with its key, bell and pendulum.
- Total height: 46 cms / 18.5" - Total width = 34 cms / 13.5"
