根来塗Negoro-nuri - Bandeja - Madeira - Paletes de madeira lacada

A beautifully crafted Japanese lacquered wooden tray, known as a nagatabon (long-handled tray), finished in a striking deep red lacquer. This elongated design is both elegant and practical, embodying the refined craftsmanship of traditional Japanese lacquerware. The smooth, glossy surface reflects the meticulous attention to detail, while the vibrant red hue adds a touch of warmth and sophistication. Ideal for serving or display, this piece exemplifies the timeless artistry and functionality of Japanese craftsmanship. *根来塗Negoro-nuri is a type of Japanese painting technique, and is a lacquerware that is painted with vermilion lacquer over a black lacquer base coat. The name comes from Negoro-ji Temple in Wakayama Prefecture. Here in Kii Province, Ichijo-san Daidenpoin Negoro-ji Temple (present-day Negoro, Iwade City, Wakayama Prefecture), various lacquerwares were made, mainly for daily use by thousands of monks from the Kamakura period to the Muromachi period. Among them, only a handful were made of the supreme lacquerware of Negoro-ji Ichizan, which is characterized by a vivid vermilion color that retains natural brush marks, using precious natural cinnabar, which was said to be of the same quality as gold at the time. Of course, lacquerware made with precious cinnabar was only used by a limited number of high priests. The lacquerware could withstand uses that modern lacquerware cannot, its corners did not chip easily, it could be directly poured into boiling water, and even when the red on top of the lacquerware started out bright red, the black underneath and the high-quality base underneath it could withstand use and continue to be used, and even when it was rubbed, the contrast between the red and black showed new beauty, making it a sturdy lacquerware that was beautiful even when scratched. Its bursting breath crossed the mountains and was shipped all over the country, making it the finest lacquerware of the Middle Ages. Customs information Shipping by Japan Post in a very fast delivery with tracking number. Please note that the product will be securely packed so the package would be larger and heavier than the product itself. Antique items have originally crease, stain, damage, and more.
