A set of refined five-tiered wooden Jubako(food box) with five compartments and two lids, designed with radish and turnip maki-e patterns.
The outer surface of this Jubako shows a fine maki-e gold lacquer lid and four sides decoration of turnip and radish. These patterns were created with great precision and details, capturing the beauty in every nuance. The gold lacquer was applied with great skill, creating an effect of depth and three-dimensionality to the floral motif.
The interior of the Jubako are well coated with tiny red lacquer, this finish offers a charming contrast to the glossy exterior.
Dimensions: 42.5 x 23 x 24 cm
Good condition, there are stains and wear off due to age and normal use, please also take a look at the listed photos for a reference.
