Exceptional photo frame - Napoleon III in bronze. On a green moiré background, a decoration of typical Louis XVI inspiration: An oval medallion; Two garlands with a quiver (cases containing the arrows of love) in their center held by cherubs who each hold a flowered crown. On each side of the medallion a knot holds a garland in which is placed a dove or an eagle, and at the bottom a garland of flowers and foliage. The frame itself is decorated, even on the edges, and topped with a scrolled garland. Opening and hanging system on the back, to place or hang. Everything is original and in eceptionally good condition. The photo frame has either been in a room where it was protected from sunligt, or been packed away for a long period, as the green fabric is still vibrant and hasn't faded in colour, after 150 years.
Dimensions all inclusive: high 18.5 cm (16 cm without scrolls) wide 12.7 cm, deep approximately 1.5 cm. Weight: 320 grams.
The photo frame will be well packed and shipped with insurance.
