2019 Gran Enemigo Gualtallary Single Vineyard Cabernet Franc - Mendoza - 6 Garrafas (0,75 L)

Intense Cabernet Franc dominated wine from high-altitude vineyards in Gualtallary in Mendoza's Uco Valley wine region, over 1.000 metres above sea level. Gualtallary has shown to be a wine growing area of exceptional quality. The grapes are picked at 7 different times to achieve the perfect ripeness. The wine ages for 7 months in oak barrels. The vinification is also similar to the technique used for the famous French Cru Classé wine from Bordeaux. The wine has an intense dark colour, almost purple at the edges, a big bouquet of ripe black berries and a touch of spice, a complex flavour with great fullness that finishes soft and fruity. Alejandro Virgil himself calls it a "mini Cheval Blanc". This wine can already be enjoyed now but will certainly age beautifully.
