CLUSTER is a sculptural necklace made from waxed copper tubes and glazed porcelain elements. It is the first of 3 jewellery pieces born from the friendship and collaboration between ceramicist Margarita Rangelova and metalsmith Marta Moskova. In this project the two explored the unity and contrast between their materials and sought to create a complementary merge between them through a series of sculptural, yet functional necklaces. In CLUSTER the copper is more calm, allowing the ceramic to dominate. It sits around the neck like a traditional necklace and opens with a custom-made hinge mechanism and a magnetic closure.
