From carefully selected grapes Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, collected and left to dry and then vinified in full respect for local traditions, came the Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Historian: wine with great balance and elegance, austere and powerful, yet smooth and enjoyable. Intense ruby colour, open to feelings of cherry, plum and black pepper, vegetable of undergrowth, chocolate, tobacco and rhubarb. Powerful when tasted, warm and very soft, with vigorous but well balanced tannins and long finish. With game in feathers and jugged, sleeping with the braised beef and with large cheeses.
