Ito Wako is a copperplate printmaker born in Sapporo, Hokkaido in 1945.
Her representative works are mostly fruits, grasses, and flowers, and her feminine colors complement the subject matter well.
Several of her works are in the collection of the local Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art.

1963 Graduated from Sapporo Asahigaoka High School
Selected for the Japan Print Association Exhibition and All Hokkaido Exhibition in 1966
1967The Sapporo Education Director Prize at All Hokkaido Exhibition ('74 Association Friends Prize)
1969Exhibited at Pistoia Print Biennale (Italy), went to Europe and stayed in France, studied at Ecole de Dessin (Nice)
1972Traveled to Europe and stayed in France. Exhibited copperplate prints at Shiota Gallery (San Francisco), mezzotints at Shirota Gallery (Tokyo), Pasadena Japan Women's Print Exhibition (USA), Japan Print Exhibition (Australia).
1974Exhibited at Hokkaido Shusaku Art Exhibition
Member of All Hokkaido Exhibition, 1975
1983Exhibited at Central Gallery (Osaka), Copperplate Print Exhibition at Odakyu Department Store (Tokyo), Solo Exhibition at Matsuzakaya Ueno (Tokyo), Invited to participate in the Republic of China International Print Exhibition (Taipei)
