Circa 2nd-3rd century AD This amazing schist grey sculpture presents a seated Buddha, positioned in the dhyanasana with hands in the dhyana mudra, symbolising meditation. Clad in a heavy robe, meticulously rendered with incised folds, the figure sits atop a simple, rectangular plinth. The serene face features finely carved details, including elongated earlobes and curly hair gathered in a topknot.
