Prata - Fio de missangas

Bulk of antique Prakeuam silver beads in a poor condition, dents and losses (see detailed photos).
Made of engraved or chased pure silver strips over “lak” (Asian natural resin). Bead’s shapes and designs are bound to ancient Thai and Khmer religious and courtisan traditions.
Sourced in the Surin province (South Thailand). This style originated in the Khmer ancient culture and it’s still alive along the Cambodia and Thailand border.
Hard to find beads. 
Highly collectible and useful for study and investigation.
