Magnificent Art Nouveau bowl depicting a fishing boat with children, antique piece, made by Royal Dux Porzellan-Manufaktur, Bohemia - Czechoslovakia (today Czech Republic), in excellent condition.
The pair of children, darling figurines, seems to be dressed in traditional Dutch clothes, with wooden clogs and volendam costumes. The boat itself seems to be a wooden fishing boat wit paddles inside, versatile detailed piece, as is suitable like cabinet decoration, serving bowl for candies, or simple as a great table centerpiece.
Dux Porcelain Manufactory was started in 1860 in Duchov, Bohemia by Edouard Eichler and is commonly referred to by its abbreviated name, Royal Dux. During World War I, the letter E appeared in the center of the pink triangle mark used to mark Royal Dux porcelain.
The sculpture is in excellent condition, more like pristine, marked accordingly on the back of the base by the added over-glazed Dux dark pink triangle with “E” inside, impressed numbered #2489, impressed signature of the artist on the side of the boat, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures, as they are part of description.
