this couple of traditional Yamagata Kokeshi dolls comes from a collector who lives in the Wakayama region, Japan.
Both dolls are of high artistic quality and estimated to be at least 70 years old.
They are in good shape, just some minor dents on the backside and slightly faded colors.
Both dolls have gotten a nice golden patina over the years.
The doll of the left is slightly smaller and made by famous Sato Sanzo (1925-2000)
Size: 19 x 6 x 6 cm.
The doll on the right is made by Kobayashi Seitaro.
Sizes: 20 x 5 x 5 cm.
The artists signatures are written on the bottom sides.
