A no reserve auction A fine example of a 1939 WW II Rolex Oyster, silvered dial with a mixture of black Arabic numerals and gold dots retains its original blued steel alpha hands with gilt sweep seconds hand, signed at 12 o'clock "ROLEX OYSTER" at 6 o'clock "PRECISION" dial nicely aged with superb patination. Manual wound fully signed Rolex 17 jewel movement in good working order. Stainless steel oyster case marked to case back with model number 3537 and serial number 135409 denotes watch to have been made in 1939 interior of case back marked "Brevetee Suisse France, Angleterre, U.S.A, Alemagne, ETC "SAR" under a crown or coronet stands for "Société Anonyme Rolex". Comes on a new vintage brown open ended strap.
