Four Roses is made with water, corn, rye, barley and yeast from 10 different recipes with these ingredients. It has a higher proportion of rye than any other Bourbon. It is matured between 5 and 12 years in American oak barrels charred inside.

Four Roses comes from Kentucky (United States) and is a bourbon distillery founded in 1888 by Paul Jones Jr, a young soldier of the Confederacy. The name of this drink comes from the four embroidered flowers that his wife had on her bodice when he met her. Despite the quality of this bourbon, it was not until 1943 when exports to the rest of the world began.
