The Master Blender of Dictador continues his masterpiece in the creation of rums aged in American oak or given a port or sherry barrel finish. The Rima 1 American Oak Cask Vintage 2001 bottling is aged for 21 years in American oak barrels, giving it its leathery, woody character with a subtle spicy aroma.
Distilled: 2001 Bottled: 2022 Cask no: AO-404 Limited to 307 bottles.
Tasting notes:
Color: Dark copper with reddish reflections.
Nose: Maple syrup, leather, fresh oak aromas, notes of vanilla, old bookstores.
Taste: Sweetened black tea, notes of chamomile, hints of rich cream, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Finish: Long lasting, licorice, blueberry notes, touch of cinnamon.
