Interesting Belgian M-26 Adrian type helmet with lion plate, originally mounted and never removed, with part of the chinstrap and original paint. The liner is missing, but the helmet has its beautiful patina with the original paint and lion plate. The Belgian M26/31 was a direct copy of the French Adrian. Produced in Belgium from 1931 it retained (with minor modifications) the Lions Head that was affixed to the WWI Adrian's. The major visual difference between the Belgian and French helmets is the more flared sides and brim of the Belgian, the French M26 had a much lower profile.
