Wine bought in Bodegas Riojanas in 2015. Stored in a private cellar up to today. Exceptional storage conditions. Fully mature and therefore drinking well now, or cellar for the next 20 years years. Aged for 10 years in cask. Wine bottled in 1986 wrapped in the original paper. This extremely limited edition was known as "Edición del Centenario" (Centenary Edition). Initially, the wine was selected by Bodegas Riojanas to celebrate the First Centenary of the company in 1990. Just a few hundred bottles were sold or given to loyal customers. The rest remained stored in the old cellar in Cenicero village for 10 years. The wine was planned to be bottled in 1981 as the regular Reserva. The finest casks were selected by tasting and the wine was aged for 5 more years. Finally, it was hand-bottled directly from the barrel in 1986. Not filtered. The bottles remained in the old cellar in Cenicero village.
