A very attractively illustrated volume with 18 documents on items removed from Pompeii and Vesuvius "Memorie e notizie pubblicate dall'Ufficio".
Seven chromolithographic plates (of which 1 double page), 1 fold-out card, 1 fold-out plate, 3 double-page plates and 7 other plates.
Ex-library with label removed from the free front cover and several discreet stamps. Some very incidental light spots. All edges uncut and a bit dusty otherwise content very clean publisher's printed paper covers shelves and old spine repairs.
