A contemporary reinterpretation of the iconic design of Sapper's Plico folding trolley.

Replico is a sculptural low table that emphasises the slender form of the open trolley, freezing it in time.
This object combines both the aesthetic tension and functionality of the cantilevered tabletops that Sapper used in Plico, but presents them in a fixed design.

Its modest dimensions, lightness and elegant appearance make it suitable for any room in the house, be it a living room, a study or a bedroom. This versatile piece of furniture can be used as a coffee table in front of a sofa, as a low console table against a wall or even as a bedside table.

Made entirely of aluminium, it consists of three pieces of sheet metal folded and screwed together on a solid square profile. The black colour lends a sense of sobriety and elegance to the design and, combined with the red painted joint details, becomes a clear reference to Sapper's signature style.

The design focuses on simple, open and waste-free principles.

Replico is a limited edition project created exclusively for Catawiki.

Unveiled during the last Milan Design Week at Masterly, Palazzo Giureconsulti, as part of the 'HOMAGE' exhibition organised by the event's curator, Niquole Uniquole, in collaboration with Catawiki.

THE STUDIO

Bhulls is an independent design studio established in 2020 by the creative partnership between the product designer Riccardo Parmiciano Borgström and the visual designer Giorgia Farina. The Italian duo design and produces frank and unconventional objects. With an experimental approach to design practice, the studio explores the field of aesthetic and function to create collectible and limited edition projects that blur the lines between art and design.
