The reverse of the coin depicts a traditional Japanese samurai, in red armour, with the most important part of the samurai's armor – the helmet. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: "ELIZABETH II" – the name of the Queen, "NIUE" – the issuing country, "2022" – the year of issue, "2 DOLLARS" – the face value, "1 oz 999 Fine Silver" the weight and the fineness of the Silver.
