This is an excellent damask linen table linen with 9 napkins.(75cm x 60cm) In fact we are adding the 10th napkin free as it has been heavily darned. We have not charged for this one. The initials C.F. are embroidered in hight relief and are resting in a oval wreath of flora. The strength of this table linen lies in the damask design which I have not seen before. The linen is framed with circles which are interlaced with floral attributes and every 2 circles are "bound together" with a wedding ring. I assume this linen was especially commissioned as a major wedding present as it would not have been cheap in those days to have it especially woven. An excellent set of table linen.
