This work forms also a separate, undivudual and complete part of the Raccolta di Viaggi dalla scoperta del nuovo continente, edited by F. C. Marmocchi, of which it is volume 16, and of the sub-series, Viaggi nella Oceania, of which this is volume 2. Lacks the blank front free endpaper. Stamp on the series title, but not on the sub-series title and the volume title, and also otherwise clean.
With 13 fine steel engravings and several woodcuts. The attractive binding, with gilt title on the spine, is contemporary.
