He uses the same technique as Hajime Namiki. A Gold background and base layer. On top this thick creamy light to richer orange. The color combination is very good, combined with the red tree. In between you see the gold coming through. Beautiful dept in the tree trunk and glistering because of the base layer in gold.
About the artist :
1949 Born in Tokyo.
1972 Graduated from the Musashino University of Fine Arts.
Studied under Hoshi Joichi and Sasajima Kihei.
Exhibition: Many shows in Japan, South Korea, Thailand, France, and the United States.
His woodblock works are all handmade by the traditional Japanese Baren.
Kunio Kaneko's purpose is "Neo Japan Art" which is very traditional Japanese but reflects global views.
The print will be send between hardboard and carton plates to prevent any damage in transport. Sending nearly worldwide, insured with tracking post.
