The concert took place in the legendary Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco. Artist Wes Wilson made many posters for the legendary concert promoter Bill Graham between early 1966 and early 1967. It is number 047 in the Bill Graham poster series. Most Wilson posters are characterized by psychedelic freehand writing. The original first printing poster has thumbtack holes and small tears and abrasions on the sides. So it is not for collectors looking to increase its value, but rather for people who appreciate that the poster (which is made of thick paper, by the way) has hung on walls over the years and brought joy to so many people.
