De Primogeniorum Hispanorum Origine, ac natura, libri quator, Written by MOLINA MORALES, Luis de (Osuna,1520 - Madrid,1581). Molina y Morales was a 16th-century Spanish historian who is primarily known for his landmark work on primogeniture, or the rights and privileges of first-born Spaniards. Serving as an advisor in Castile, Morales wrote "De hispanorum primogeniorum" in 1573 which became the best work if its kind. The author analyzes in detail the legislation that regulates the Morgados and everything linked to them, an institution of great social and economic importance in feudal Iberian Peninsula during the former regime and that lasted until the mid-19th century.
