Broncho: A Stirring Tale Inspired by the Famous Olympia Winner | 1930 1st EDITION By Richard Ball Illustrations by G.D. Armor, War Horse Inspiration
A Fantastic scarce 1930 first edition copy of Broncho: A Stirring Tale Inspired by the Famous Olympia Winner by Richard Ball, it is beautifully illustrated with pencil drawings by G.D. Armor. This book is said to have been the inspiration for “War Horse”
The dust jacket describes it best...
"To many who saw the late Col. Malise Graham riding and winning with his veteran charger Broncho at Olympia there must have come the thought that the history of such a horse might make romantic reading. Mr. Ball, dedicating his book to that famous forerunner, has imagined a life story such as his might have been. A stirring tale is the result. From the moment when Roger Arbuthnot rescues Broncho from the vile treatment of Farquarson the dealer, and wins the horse's undying affection -- through high adventure in the hunting field, in point-to-point reading, and on the battlefields of the Great War, to their final triumph at Olympia - the story unfolds with such exciting incidents and such moments of poignancy that no reader, whether young or old, can well remain unmoved."

Zobacz tłumaczenieAnother great Catawiker! A pleasure to deal with!
Sembra impossibile che tre fogli di un Album pagati 15 € siano caricati di 30 € di spese di spedizione, arrivino dopo 3 settimane e si debbano pagare ulteriori 20,29 € di "spese doganali" al corriere
Zobacz tłumaczenieWell, Thankyou for this rather candid negative review which was completely out of my control as a seller, yes i agree that 15 Euros for 3 exceptionally Rare Original Regency Satirical Caricature etched plates were indeed a bargain, but International import fees and duties resulting from sales and consequent shipping are neither under my control or am i responsible for them. This is the responsibility of the winning bidder to either check and calculate if they wish BEFORE bidding or after sale is complete, ESPECIALLY when this is clearly stated in the listing by Catawiki and myself. As for Shipping of 28 Euros to Italy by UPS Expedited service fully tracked, signed for and insured to full value? this is fully accounted for and was clearly listed at time of bidding and post sale invoice? I even upgraded you for an extra cost to the EXPRESS option so that you would receive your item quicker, which you indeed have within 5 days. Please explain how any of this was my fault? Regards Yvonne

IT WAS NOT THE QUALITY THAT I WAS WAITING TO SEE. MOST OF THE STAMPS ARE IN BAD COLLECTION CONDITION. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I ALSO PAID EXTRA 15 EUROS FOR TAXES IN THE AIRPORT.
Zobacz tłumaczenieI am very sorry to hear this but with an incredible 308 photographs of every stamp in the book I cannot contemplate how you possibly could have been deceived. Yvonne
