Charmes-Chambertin is a French wine with an “Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée” produced in the climate of “Charmes” (or “Charmes-Chambertin”) in “Gevrey-Chambertin”, Côte-d'Or. It is classified among the great growths of the “Côte de Nuits” vineyards.

Bright color, dark ruby in color. Aromas of red fruits (raspberry, blackcurrant, red currant), licorice, spices, rose, violet, undergrowth. In mouth it is powerful, opulent, complex, voluptuous, elegant.

Goes well with game (in sauce or grilled), lamb in sauce, coq au vin, prime rib, washed-rind cheese...

It is served at a temperature of 13 to 16 degrees. It can be kept from 10 to 20 years (more than 20 years for the best years).
