Fabulous Meissen porcelain Biedermeier “braided edge”, luster gilt, floral pattern, tea service, 1825-1850, marked with crossed swords in underglaze blue and various numbers, in excellent to pristine condition.
Painted in colours and in lustre-gilt with scattered field flowers, with animal head spouts, loop handles, acorn finials and braided edge with scrolling foliate ornaments in slight relief, comprising: One large teapot and acorn cover, animal head spout, six cups and six saucers, cups with heavy gilded handles.
This set it’s entirely First Choice!
Polychrome painting with scattered flowers, ornamental gilding, delicate forget-me-nots and other flowers, this pattern is of sublime delicacy.
Floral painting on porcelain has a long tradition at the Meissen manufactory that has grown continually throughout the ages and continues on to this day.
All the pieces are in excellent to pristine condition, marked with Meissen blue crossed sword mark of the period and numbered, NO grinding lines, First Choice, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see the pictures as they are part of description.
