Beautiful late 19th century American vanity table cut-glass jar for dispensing powder. Sterling silver lid unscrews to reveal a gilt metal sieve. The lid is embossed in a lovely Art Nouveau design of blooming daisy flowerheads and scrolling foliage. The glass body is slice-cut with concave panels and the edges are cut with a gadrooned “tooth” finish.
Beautiful addition to any dressing table set from one the most famous American silversmith companies of the period.

Good antique condition. Fleabites and nibbles along the facets, small chip near the top; several dings and small dents to silver lid and inner sieve; one side of the lid is slightly pinched in one spot.
