A carved agate bead talisman from the ancient Tibetan or Nepalese culture.

Second Millennium AD .

In good condition. It has been cleaned by hand, but the nice antique patina is preserved. Original, ancient, hand cutting, carving, grinding and boring. The holes are ancient, hand-made, irregular. The holes have been probably over drilled with modern techniques to make the piece wearable when ancient holes obstructed. Traces of use age on its surface. Ther are 2 small cracks on the rim.

Purchased mid 90's in Strasbourg by Dr. Zelnik on the local art market.
