A collection of 11 Robin Hood tales, penned by Henry Gilbert, and augmented by the signature detailed artistry of English book Walter Crane. Ornately bound and wonderfully illustrated with 16 colour plates including frontispiece by Walter Crane. Published by T. C. & E. C. Jack, Edinburgh and London, 1912. Publisher’s original forest green boards, with green lettering, and illustration to upper board and spine. Top page edges gilt.
Book Dimensions: 21 x 14 cm and Number of Pages: 360
Condition:
Firm and well- bound copy. Light wear to boards’ corners, edges, and to head and foot of spine. Internally; the book in good condition. Old inscription dated 1916 on first front free endpaper page. Pages are generally clean, with foxing to initial pages and page edges. All 16 colour plates are present and bright (Collectible Copy) (Please see pictures).
