ELKINGTON HISTORY:
Elkington & Co. are one of the most important names in English silver and certainly the most important in silver plate. They began life in Birmingham as a company of silversmiths in 1836, and experimented with improving gilding techniques. By 1838 they had discovered and patented a new way to electroplate one metal on to the surface of another. By 1840 production was already underway with silver electroplated wares.

It appears to be missing part of the lot: two forks were not in the shipment, but most importantly the spoons show major scratch marks on the silver lining, not apprpriate for its use with guests

I am not sure why 2 forks are missing as i have packed all the items together if they are missing then i apologies and can send you another 2 forks as i do not have the same forks. regarding the scratches , these are vintage items and in the provided photos all of these scratches are clearly shown, I have been transparent and honest in presetting the items condition.
