EXCEPTIONAL REAL DINOSAUR ARM
Offered is a rare, impressive and displayable 20 cm( unrolled) dinosaur right arm (humerus, hulna, radius and ands bones) of the Lower Cretaceous ceratopsid dinosaur Psittacosaurus mazongshensis Yu 1997, from the Lower Xinminbao Formation of Ganzu Province, China.
All the bones are complete and the falanges present claws with tarsal and metatarsal bones articulated as in life.
Humerus is 9 cm
Radius is 6 cm
Largest phalanges is 4 cm
Nice display included.
Psittacosaurus is a Ceratopsian dinosaur; a much smaller relative of Triceratops and is notable for being the most species-rich non-avian dinosaur genus, with more than a dozen species so far known, from across China, Mongolia, Russia, and Thailand. Psittacosaurus were obligate bipeds at adulthood (the rear limbs are larger and more powerful than the forelimbs) with a high skull and a robust beak. This specimen is matrix-free and part of a former teaching collection............the bone quality is very good.
Affordable price for such a fine, displayable and good sized example of this classic dinosaur from a unusual locality.
A superb specimen only enhanced by its rarity and absence from most museum collections.
