"The Book of Job" illustrated by William Blake - Ernest Benn, London - 1927 first thus Uk edition - the eighteenth book of the Old Testament with thw 22 engravings of William Blake - 20cmx15cm - condition: good, original binding, minor rubbing to edges, all Blake engravings present

The Book of Job (/dʒoʊb/; Biblical Hebrew: אִיּוֹב, romanized: ʾĪyyōḇ), or simply Job, is a book found in the Ketuvim ("Writings") section of the Hebrew Bible and the first of the Poetic Books in the Old Testament of the Christian Bible.[1] Scholars generally agree that it was written between the 7th and 3rd centuries BCE.[2] It addresses the problem of evil, providing a theodicy through the experiences of the eponymous protagonist.[3] Job is a wealthy and God-fearing man with a comfortable life and a large family. God asks Satan (הַשָּׂטָן, haśśāṭān, 'lit. 'the adversary'') for his opinion of Job's piety. When Satan states that Job would turn away from God if he were rendered penniless, without his family, and materially uncomfortable, God allows him to do so. The rest of the book deals with Job successfully defending himself against his unsympathetic friends, whom God admonishes, and God's sovereignty over nature.

Articolo come da descrizione. Imballo accurato per quanto riguarda il libro, suggerisco però una scatola più piccola, in cui l’oggetto non possa muoversi col rischio di danneggiarsi

Both books were badly bumped in transit, but that is more the fault of the carrier. Otherwise, everything ok.
