*Udvary Géza (Udvary Géza László), Perbenyik, 20.09.1872 – Budapest, 04.02.1932.
He was the father of another famous Hungarian artist - Udvary Pál.

Udvary Géza attended high school in Kassa and Debrecen, then studied at Bertalan Karlovszky's private painting school and the Model Drawing School in Budapest. He studied for several years at painting schools in Vienna, Munich, and Paris. He also visited Rome, Florence, and Venice. At the beginning of his career, he worked mainly on portraits and landscapes, then continued with figurative compositions in the spirit of the Renaissance. Returning home, he studied for seven years in the painting class of Károly Lotz at his fresco masters' school. In 1901 he was appointed assistant teacher of figurative composition at the National School of Applied Arts, and from 1903 to 1931 he was a full-time teacher of figurative drawing and painting. He was a member of the Benczur Society and the Association of Professional Artists. In 1917 he was awarded the Lipótvárosi Kaszinó Prize for his painting "The Wedding Gift". In 1917 and 1918 he organized an exhibition at the Salon of Painters and Carvers in Budapest. In 1932, a memorial exhibition of his paintings was organized in "Műcsarnok" (Budapest).

His large historical fresco can be found in the thousand-year-old chapel in Pannonhalma, and two of his frescoes can be found in the parliament (in front of the Nándorfehérvár Hunyadi Walls and the entrance of King Matthias to Budavar - Hunyadi Nándorfehérvár falai előtt és Mátyás király bevonulása Budavárába).

Ein wunderbar lebendiges Bild. Der Rahmen hatte kleinere Schäden, sonst kam das Bild unbeschädigt an. Bin mit dem Kauf sehr zufrieden.
