Welcome to my auction!
This is an unique, original and hand-crafted masterpiece. Particularly interesting about this artefact is the attention to detail by its maker, a Malian craftsman or "artisan". I got it during my stay in the Djenné region in Mali.
This statue is a Dogon ancestor/shepherd with a shield and a spear, riding a horse, mystical animal of the Dogon culture. It has always been stored inside a glass showcase.

MATERIAL: African bronze. Lost-wax casting process, brown patina.
PROVENANCE: Private collection, originally from the Djenné region, in Mali (collected in situ).
SPECS: 18 cm height, 18 cm width. About 700 g.

Insured shipping with Track & Trace. FAIR shipping costs via UPS!
