This Philips is a 2 x 7 Watt Philips stereo amplifier from 1965. The amplifier has balanced output stages that are connected directly, that is to say without an intermediate transformer, to 8-ohm speakers. It is one of the first transistorized HiFi amplifiers from Philips and a collector's item
The four rotary knobs on the front are for TREBLE, BASS, BALANCE and VOLUME. On the left are the selector switches for Gramophone (MD or crystal), Tuner, Recorder or PU. The top left is push buttons for Rumble and Scratch and on the far right On/off. In 1966 the type number of this amplifier changed to 22GH923.

• Frequency range 20 Hz to 20 kHz +/- 2 dB

This amplifier is tested and in working order but a small service maintenance such as re-cap and contact cleaning of potentiometers will increase the quality of sound and the overall life of the product.

Hi there, just use a bit of contact cleaner. Remove the knob and spray contact cleaner and it will be fine. corrosion on the variable resistors / potentiometer is common phenomenon on vintage equipmen
