Although there is some overall fading due to aging, the printing itself is very clean. As this is a work from nearly 30 years ago, please check the condition in the photos. ----------- This is a landscape printing of a remains of hyakusaiji Temple in Shiga pref. Hyakusaiji Temple is a Tendai sect temple located in Hyakusaijicho, Higashiomi City, Shiga Prefecture. Its mountain name is Shakasan. The principal image is the Eleven-Headed Kannon. It is said to have been founded by Prince Shotoku. It is known as one of the "Three Mountains of the East Lake" along with Kongorinji Temple and Saimyoji Temple. The temple grounds are designated as a national historic site.
