Old 3/4 violin, labelled "Caressa & Francais luthiers du conservatoire de musique N 425 Paris 1912"
The instrument remains in good condition with some tears and wears, but no cracks.
The violin has two pieces back made from beautiful softly flamed maple; the table is likewise matching of high quality, straight, high grained spruce. The original varnish of golden reddish color.
LOB measures 338 mm. The total length of the violin is 557 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 150 mm; middle bouts: 97 mm; lower bouts: 190 mm.
