A fine group of four Late bronze age or early iron age bronze arrowheads featuring blades of various shapes but all displaying a raised midrib, and a short stem and a narrow tang. Three of them feature sharp barbs. Some chips and wear to the blades and earthy encrustations throughout all. Renowned in antiquity for its sophisticated metal working techniques. Bronze age weapons, such as these nice examples, would have been used in everyday life but also buried together with the deceased. Excavated items from this region often include weapons, tools, and finials, as well as small amulets and fittings. Ornamental objects are also frequently found, such as pins and bracelets. Archaeological evidence suggests that the Luristan bronze objects often served ceremonial functions given their funerary contexts. Measurements: L 7.7-8.7cm Provenance: Ex.
