Unique Blend 1980 Samaroli The Unique Blend was bottled in 2015 by Samaroli's Scottish-based bottling arm, Coilltean, from selected cask no. 18 . Samaroli is perhaps Italy's most revered independent bottler of Scotch whisky. With an impeccable taste in single cask whiskies, and an eye for aesthetics (if not English spelling at times!), he is regarded by many as a visionary. Many of his bottles now occupy deserved sports on the pantheon of whisky greats. While Silvano was noted for his cask selection, the blending skill of new Samaroli boss, Antonio Bleve, is producing a number of exceptional whiskies and rums in a new era for the company. The particular blend is rumoured to contain a very healthy amount of Speyside and Glen Garioch 1980 vintage single malt, diluted with some North British grain whisky, and matured for over 35 years. Bottle 315 of only 540 produced.
