【Important notes】
・International Buyers: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility.
・Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. These duties are paid to your country's customs office and not to us. Prompt payment of these fees is necessary to ensure delivery of your item.
・We deeply value your understanding regarding the blade's export process. The duration to secure an export permit might extend up to a month, and shipping, based on the destination, could take an additional month. In some instances, sea freight may be chosen, which might lengthen the delivery period to 2-3 months.
・Considering the diligence required for export permit procedures, we'd like to emphasize the importance of commitment after purchase. If the auction is annulled post-confirmation, there's a need to retract the said permit. In such situations, to cover administrative efforts, a fee equating to 10% of the auction's final amount would be requested via PayPal.
・We kindly request bids from those who fully acknowledge these conditions. Please be informed that the original registration document is required to be returned to official authorities, so a copy will be provided with the sword.
・AUSTRIA, BELGIUM, and UK prohibits the import of swords, so please refrain from bidding.
【Product details】
This wakizashi features a unique saya (Scabbard), a tsuba signed '政隋' with a dragon motif, and a fuchi-kashira with floral patterns.
The sword comes with a copy of its Firearms and Swords Registration Certificate, as the original document will be returned to the authorities. The certificate details are as follows: Firearms and Swords Registration Certificate Shizuoka Prefecture No. 21502, type: wakizashi, length: 48.6 cm, curvature: 1.1 cm, peg holes: 2, unsigned (suriage), issued on Showa 35 (1960), July 8.
The term "suriage" refers to the process of shortening the blade by removing part of the tang and re-attaching a new tang. This practice was often done when the blade was broken or to meet changing preferences in sword length.
The blade shows signs of use with minor nicks and rust along the spine. The tsuba and fittings have some rust and discoloration. The lacquer on the scabbard has scratches, nicks, and worn areas. Please refer to the photos. The display stand is not included.
Length of the blade: 62.5 cm
Total length including scabbard: 71 cm
・Please make sure to review all the provided information and images before placing your bid.
